Silicon-free antifoam

General

Hydrocarbon-soluble antifoaming agent developed from a surfactant polymer, free of organic silicon. Focused on wells producing crude with foam problems, where pressure and temperature conditions reduce their differentials.

Application

Inlet of first-stage separators or well downcomer; light, heavy and extra-heavy crude.

Uses and benefits

Controls foam formation and favors continuous pumping. Best reinforced with an asphaltene and paraffin inhibitor and dispersant to prevent filter plugging, which also makes pumps draw a vacuum.

Recommended dosage

15 to 30 ppm at the inlet of first-stage separators or in a well downcomer, depending on the specific gravity of the crude.

Packaging and storage

200-liter plastic drums, 1,000-liter high-density polyethylene containers with metal cage, or stainless steel containers. Store in a cool, ventilated place, protected from direct sun and rain, with containers closed when not in use. Review the product safety data sheet.
