Flow improver

General

Flow improver additive for the chemical treatment of heavy crude oil of 20 °API or less with high water and occluded-salt content, improving crude recovery. Hydrocarbon-soluble amber liquid, free of suspended material and stable at typical pipeline and storage temperatures.

Application

Onshore and offshore installations: wells, headers, pipelines and hydrocarbon treatment in the North, South and Marine Regions.

Uses and benefits

Suitable for heavy and extra-heavy crudes with low or high water content; efficient over a wide range of temperatures and pressures. Applied with conventional dosing equipment, using piston or diaphragm pumps.

Recommended dosage

Laboratory tests are recommended to determine the optimum dosage according to the characteristics of the crude. Typically 30 to 80 ppm for heavy and extra-heavy crude. Continuous or batch application.

Packaging and storage

200-liter plastic drums, 1,000-liter high-density polyethylene containers with metal cage, or stainless steel containers. Store in a cool, ventilated place, protected from direct sun and rain, with containers closed when not in use. Review the product safety data sheet.
